This work begins with documenting the horizon before building successive, delicate glazes on a rigid support. The application of silvered pigments creates a sense of "controlled chaos," mirroring the rhythmic complexity of a sunrise. By returning to the surface repeatedly, the transition from deep indigo to lavender is captured as a series of translucent veils, resulting in a surface that feels physically permanent yet visually weightless.
